Nature translated into fine sculptures
Welcome on the website of Cincia Sporrij, an artist with roots in the Netherlands. Through the years, she has focused more and more on creating ceramics. At the Academy of Visual Arts in Mol (Belgium), she realised her own designs and furthermore she specialised in creating porcelain sculptures.
Nature’s beauty with its stars, flowers and the underwater world with its colourful corals, sea anemones and other mystical creatures fascinates Cincia endlessly.
Porcelain art, natural or silver plated
In her studio, Cincia creates her complicated but delicate contemporary sculptures out of porcelain clay into refined timeless sculptures. These can have a natural finish or can be silver plated. Often, Cincia pushes the boundaries of the material. Her complex creations are a combination of fragility and serenity. Each piece is handmade and therefore unique.
